Your dog is the goodest floofer in the world – at least to you. Unfortunately, not everyone is a pet person. (I know, I know, it’s a travesty!)
If you want to put your best foot forward with potential buyers, there’s a couple things you need to do…
🐾 Vacuum & sweep every day that your home is on the market. Dog hair has a tendency to multiply quickly. You don’t want furballs on your floor giving the impression that your home hasn’t been well maintained.
🐾 Poop scoop your backyard. I promise, you don’t want potential buyers stepping in or slipping on poop 💩.
🐾 Work on getting rid of dog smell in your house. Yes, it’s probably there. Don’t worry, Pinterest has a dozen different ways to get rid of the dog smell, so pick one (or a handful) and test it out.
🐾 Take Fido with you when you leave the house for home tours. When prospective buyers and their agents come by, your house should free of all 2-legged and 4-legged creatures.
🐾 If you do have to leave Fido (or any other pets) at home, make sure they are crated & have ID tags on if possible. I’ve heard one too many stories of animals escaping during home showings, and I don’t want that happening to you.
