Seller's Tip

Want to get the MOST money out of selling your house? Me too! Allow me to spill the tea and share some of my favorite tips for getting your home ready for market.

💧 Pressure wash everything outdoors. I’m not just talking about the driveway. Pressure wash the porch, patio, outdoor furniture, and your siding. You’ll be surprised how clean your house looks once you give the exterior a good ol’ scrub-down.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Hide all personal items. When possible, take down personal photos & stow away personal belongings. If it has your personality written all over it, hide it. As buyers tour your home, you want them to be able to envision themselves living in your home & making it their own.

💡 Let in as much light as possible. Light makes your home feel bigger, brighter, and more welcoming. Clean all the winter grime off your windows and window screens. Open the curtains. Dust the blinds & then open them wide!

👃 Clear the air. If you smoke, have a pet, live in a small space, or have carpet, your home may…well… smell. You don’t notice it since you live there 24/7/365, but others might. Potential buyers definitely will. Before your home hits the market, work on airing it out and plugging in a neutral-scented diffuser or air freshener.

First impressions matter. Make sure your home’s first impression is a good one!
