INSIDER TIP! Don’t just say yes to the address. Say YES to the home warranty plan as well!
A home warranty plan is NOT homeowners insurance. Your home warranty costs you a few hundred bucks and covers the service, repair, and/or replacement of the major home systems and appliances in your home.
Let’s say your refrigerator breaks a few months after you move in. A new refrigerator from Lowe’s can easily set you back $1,000 or more. However, with a home warranty plan, all you’ll have to pay for is a service call, which is generally less than $1,000.
Heat go out in the winter? 🥶 Not a problem. Buying a new furnace + installation could set you back anywhere from $2,000 to $8,000. With a home warranty, you’ll pay next to nothing to get your furnace either repaired or replaced.
